Alternative/Holistic Health

Holistic health is an approach to health and wellness that considers the whole person and their interconnectedness with their environment. This approach recognizes that the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of an individual are all interconnected and that addressing each aspect is important for overall health and wellbeing. Holistic health aims to promote balance and harmony within the mind, body, and spirit and to address the root causes of any health issues rather than just treating the symptoms. It encourages individuals to take responsibility for their own health by making positive lifestyle changes and emphasizes the importance of natural and alternative therapies.

Contemporary Spirituality

Contemporary spirituality as defined here is the practice of those of us who may identify as religious or nonreligious but align our actions with our spiritual beliefs and values. It encourages us to seek inner peace, contentment, and a state of harmony with the world around us. It also involves taking responsibility for our actions and striving to live in balance with nature.

Ethically Sourced / Eco-consumerism

Ethically sourced refers to products or materials that have been obtained in a way that meets certain ethical standards. This can include, but is not limited to, fair labor practices, environmental sustainability, animal welfare, and transparency in the supply chain. The exact definition may vary according to the industry and context, but the underlying principle is to ensure that the products we consume are produced in a way that aligns with our values and does not harm people, animals, or the environment.

Eco-consumerism is a term used to describe consumer behavior and use of products and services that are considered environmentally sustainable and socially responsible. While eco-consumerism has the potential to drive positive change, some critics argue that it can also be limited in impact. To create a more sustainable and just society, they argue, we must also address larger issues, such as corporate power, political systems, and cultural values.

Sustainable Living

Living sustainably is about preserving our resources, reducing waste, and living in harmony with nature. It requires us to be conscious of our actions, the products we buy, and how they affect the environment.
